Job summary
The post holder will provide specialist nursing care and support to Neurology patients. This support will be provided throughout the patient journey in partnership with the patient (and collaboration) with the wider multi-professional team. The post holder will support, educate and advise patients and their families, organising treatment regimes for outpatient and inpatient care episodes and auditing results. The post holder will be a high profile, accessible and responsive leader with clinical responsibilities for a defined group of patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide Botox clinics, headache clinics and will have a management responsibility for the smooth running of the nursing department and services. They will be able to make informed decisions within their own area and scope of professional practice to ensure agreed standards, objectives and targets are met.
Education and Qualifications
Essential
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Neurosciences experience
- Has/Desire to work towards Nurse Prescribing/Health Assessment
Desirable
- Post graduate certificate at master’s level in skin surgery and skin lesion diagnosis and treatment.
- Mentorship qualification or equivalent
