Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for midwives who are passionate about supporting women to birth in low-risk settings, and who can demonstrate excellence, kindness and compassion, to comeand join our team of experienced midwives providing excellent low-risk care.

Team Lunar midwives each care for a caseload of women who are planning home births, providing continuity of care at home throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.They also supportwomen who choose to birth on The Nest, ourbeautiful, alongside midwife-led unit, providing intrapartum and postnatal care. Team Lunar midwives support our preparation for birth complimentary therapy clinics. Team Lunar are based on The Nest, working in a shift-model, with no requirement to be on-call from home.

The maternity team at Warrington are a friendly, welcoming team with a passion for positive change.

In 2021 the team were shortlisted for an HSJ Patient Safety Award and more recently were nominated for the regional Nursing and Midwifery Award at the 2022 NHS Parliamentary Awards.
