Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our HIV team as a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist. Working alongside the team and Band 7 lead, you will provide high quality, evidence-based care to patients with HIV on their treatment journey.

You will be a registered nurse with NMC registration, ideally with experience in HIV or a strong willingness to undertake the relevant competences and training. You will have excellent communication skills as well as organisational skills and have a passion to deliver patient centred care, supporting individuals through complex treatment pathways.

Main duties of the job

In this position you will have a key role working within and supporting a multi-professional team, providing specialist care and support to patients and carers throughout their HIV pathway and beyond. You will be responsible for working collaboratively with a range of healthcare professionals and agencies, providing specialist advice and support, to ensure the delivery of high quality and efficient services to meet the priorities of the organisation and the national HIV agenda.

This role requires you to maintain professional standards, act as a role model and work collaboratively and effectively with members of the Multidisciplinary Team. You will be expected to provide education & training to colleagues pertinent to the role and ensure they maintain their own professional development.
