Job summary

The BHR Integrated Healthcare Alliance is a new partnership between North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) and PELC.

NELFT and PELC work in partnership to provide Urgent Care Services in Queen’s Hospital, King George Hospital and Harold Wood and Barking Community sites into Urgent Treatment Centres providing 24 hour services.

NELFT is looking for a range of qualified autonomous Nurse Practitioners and AHP Urgent Care Practitioners to join our existing teams and will have opportunities to develop skills for the right applicants.

This post is eligible for the Trust ‘Welcome to NELFT’ Payment, a lump sum of 10% of agreed basic salary (pro rata if part time and exclusive of HCAS payments) (subject to a minimum of £4,000 and maximum of £10,000) and is open to all new applicants who are successfully appointed. Payment of the incentive is 50% of the lump sum at the end of the probationary period (typically six months) and then 50% at the end of year two. This welcome package is applicable to external candidates only.

Candidates should be aware that welcome payments are subject to a compulsory 2 year employment period within the role.

Main duties of the job

You will play a key role in the provision of autonomous clinical practice and leadership. The clinician will need to demonstrate expertise and competencies in the assessment and management of patients of all ages presenting in a widely diverse population and high patient flow, seeing and treating all presentations from minor to complex cases. The services will have access to radiological facilities and direct access to follow up clinics and community pathways.

The main requirements of the post:

Registered General Nurse / AHP with evidence of autonomous practice in Minor Illnesses and Minor Injuries relevant post registration qualifications.o Ability to support and manage patients of all ages including assessment diagnosing, treatment and discharge in Minor Injuries and Minor Illnesso A&E/ Urgent Care experience
