Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse Associate to work within the East Lancashire District Nursing Service.
The role involves working autonomously with the support of the wider team to deliver planned care, and successful candidates will be able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills, adaptability and resilience at interview. Training and development support will be provided with a dedicated mentor and competency framework in place to ensure that the post holder is secure and confident in their role.
Ability to work contracted hours rotationally across day and night shifts, as reasonably required by the needs of the service. This a 7-day service, including weekends and Bank Holidays

Main duties of the job
- Delivery of high-quality clinical nursing care to housebound patientsincluding end of life care, wound care, and support for patients with complex long-term conditions.
- Working with colleagues, patients, their families, and carers to provide holistic care.
- Reviewing planned care and escalating changes or concerns to the registered nursing staff promptly.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication with all clinical staff, patients and families, and other professionals.
- Participating indevelopments and change to improve patient care.
- Undertaking personal professional development to support high quality care and individual career development.

Qualifications
Essential
- Level 5 Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care (Registered Nurse Associate Qualification
- Evidence of recent appropriate study/ development and application in the work environment
Experience

- A minimum of 12 months experience working in a health care environment

- Ability to establish and maintain effective communication with patients and informal carers about care / interventions
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Evidence of clinical skills relevant to long term & complex conditions
- A working appreciation of Confidentiality, Health, Safety & Security, Risk Assessment, PDR & Supervision, Accountability
- Ability to complete records accurately in accordance with policies and procedures
