Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our dedicated and friendly team on the Gynaecology Outpatients Department based within The Women’s and Children’sHospital at HRI Hull.
Cedar Ward is a diverse and fast-paced clinical area, which sees a high turnover of patients. We care for women minor procedures, general gynaecology, pessary changes, gynaecology oncology, pre-operative assessments and emergency admissions. Gynaecology Outpatientsalso cares for women attending the Pregnancy Advisory Service.
Previous gynaecology experience would be considered an advantage but not essential as training will be provided for those candidates that demonstrate a keen interest in women’s health.
The successful applicant will have a positive, caring attitude and excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of care to patients within the Gynaecology Outpatients Department. As a registered nurse, the post holder is responsible for ensuring high quality care within the department for their patients .
They will work collaboratively with the Outpatients environment to meet the needs of patients, following the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust policies and procedures while providing supervision to more junior staff.
