Job summary
We are looking for a specialist nurse to work in our Neuro and Stroke teams. You will be supported in your development and work within the wider neurology team . We have a well established MDT and you will manage a caseload of complex patients.
Main duties of the job
o Provide specialist assessment and personalised care planning and intervention to all patients referred to the service.o Promote the health of patients and assist in the management of patients through enabling and encouraging independence, provision of support, facilitation of advice and information and education and training.
Qualifications
Essential
- First level Registered Nurse, registered with NMC
- NMP/Non Medical Prescribing qualification or willingness to obtain this qualification
Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience
- Evidence of on-going professional development and evidence in relation to neurology/stroke
- Commitment to continuous improvement of services – experience leading change
- Evidence of leadership experience and/or qualification
Skills
Essential
- Ability to work autonomously whilst able to work as a interdisciplinary team member
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to prioritise complex workload
- Proven effective communication skills
