Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Nurse to work within the East Lancashire District Nursing Service.

A permanent Band 6 position in the District Nursing Service is available for an enthusiastic and dedicated registered nurse with substantial previous experience in the District Nursing Service. For the successful candidate this is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment as a Senior Nurse developing high level skills in patient assessment and care and contributing to leadership within the team.

Ability to work contracted hours rotationally across day and night shifts, as reasonably required by the needs of the service. This a 7-day service, including weekends and Bank Holidays

Community nursing experience is essential.

Full UK driving Licence, with access to a vehicle is essential

Main duties of the job

Assists the Clinical Team Leader in the co-ordination and delivery of care in line with District Nursing Strategy nationally and locally.

The post holder must demonstrate professional leadership and be passionate about patient care. They will need to be able to problem solve and adapt to challenging situations, manage resources efficiently and ensure the delivery of safe, personal and effective patient care. We are looking for a nurse with a commitment to quality care and the ability to positively challenge to ensure patient and staff safety.
