Job summary

We are seeking an experienced neonatal nurse to join our team at Warrington Neonatal Unit for a fixed term contract of 12 months.

Our candidate will have at least 6 months neonatal experience and will have completed the Foundation in Neonates course or have an equivalent qualification.

We are seeking an enthusiastic neonatal nurse with a passion for delivering safe and effective care to families on the neonatal unit.

Warrington Neonatal Unit is a level 2 facility catering to babies from 27 weeks’ gestation. Our unit consists of 2 intensive care cots, 4 high dependency cots and 8 special care cots.

Main duties of the job

To assist the Senior nursing team in creating and maintaining an environment in which members of the ward/department team can contribute to the maximum of their ability in providing a high standard of care, staff welfare and staff training.

The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes. He/she is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and may be required to demonstrate procedures to and supervise qualified and/or unqualified staff.
