Job summary
The Division of Newborn Services is a neonatal Managed Clinical Service (MCS) working across three sites.
We are looking for the right person to join an already established Band 4 Nurse Associate team, working with the neonatal nursing team across the MCS in our busy Newborn service.
This is a highly successful and dynamic service with a reputation for the delivery of high standards of compassionate clinical care, education and research. We want to continue to progress these aspects of our service and want a post holder who shares our vision and will rise positively to the challenges the future will hold.
NICU is based on the Oxford Road Campus (ORC) and the Local Neonatal Units are based at Wythenshawe and North Manchester General Hospital.
The NICU at Saint Mary’s Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility co-located with the maternity unit and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, renowned for high standards of clinical care, research and education. Saint Mary’s is one of three NICU’s in Greater Manchester and as a tertiary unit is the only provider of neonatal surgery and specialist paediatric services.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
- Nursing Association Foundation Degree Qualification
- GCSE Maths and English Level 4 or above
- Understand and act in line with the NMC
- Understanding the importance of following procedures and policies
- Evidence of teamwork and prioritising workload
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable
- Understanding of Neonatal Care
- Further evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience working within a Critical Care Area
- Evidence of further reading around Neonates
